Police have detained two men in Feni, Bangladesh, because they designed a banner for Chhatrodol- the student wing of the main opposition party of BNP. One of the two is Samir Das, a professional designer, according to this report in Naya Diganta, a Bengali language national daily in Bangladesh.

How can we trust this government to conduct free and fair elections in the country if it views the job of designing the banner of the opposition party an offence?
