Obaidul Quader, general secretary of Awami League, said that his party would not allow the opposition hold any rally in Dhaka tomorrow (SEP 29). He has ordered his party cadres to keep occupying the streets of Dhaka. The AL party activists have been asked not to launch the first attack. But, if the AL cadres are attacked first by the opposition activists, they should teach them a lesson, he said.

How will his men occupy the streets? How will they halt the opposition rally? His men will have to use power aggressively to stop the opposition rally. It’s clear that AL is seeking to introduce politics of conflict or violence as the national elections are coming closer.

​All conscientious and democratic people across the country should stand up and condemn the politics of conflict or violence in Bangladesh. The international media and human rights groups should keep an eye on the political situation in Bangladesh. ​

আওয়ামী লীগের সাধারণ সম্পাদক ওবায়দুল কাদের বলেছেন আগামীকাল অর্থাৎ ২৯শে সেপ্টেম্বর ঢাকায় ​বিরোধী পক্ষের ​কাউকে ​​মিছিল করতে দেবেন না। ঢাকার রাস্তা দখল করে রাখার জন্য তিনি দলীয় কর্মীদের নির্দেশ দিয়েছেন। তিনি বলেছেন কাউকে আগ বাড়িয়ে আঘাত না করতে, তবে কেউ আঘাত করলে তাকে পালটা আঘাত করে “শিক্ষা” দেয়ার জন্য।

তিনি রাস্তা দখল করে রাখবেন কীভাবে? আর কাউকে মিছিল করতে দেবেন না কীভাবে? শক্তি প্রয়োগ করেই তো বাধা দিতে হয়। তাহলে নির্বাচনকে ঘিরে দেশে সংঘাতের রাজনীতি কে শুরু করলো?
