Local election of Kanchan municipality of Roopganj sub-district, Narayanganj, was held on Thursday. It appears that most voters in this municipality election could not cast their votes independently. Polling agents and other workers of different candidates accompanied the voters when they entered the secret chamber to cast their votes on the EVMs, journalists found at least in one voting centre in Narayanganj.

One presiding officer said that many voters did not know how to use EVM to cast their votes and so some people accompanied them inside the secret chamber.

The ruling party of Bangladesh used state machineries and illegally stuffed the ballot boxes at night to massively rig the December 30 general elections. Reports about the rigging during the elections were published across the global media and they drew sharp criticism from all corners. The process of rigging in elections by the ruling party is still going on in the country. Now, they have also started rigging the elections in which EVMs are being used. And, in Bangladesh they will continue rigging this way also in other elections in future.

After a massive rigging, population felt they were cheated by the ruling party and government during the last general elections, they are not interested to visit voting centres to cast their votes in any election now. A small section of the population is going to cast their votes in elections these days. Even these voters cannot cast their votes independently, at least one media camera found during the Kanchan municipal election.

The polling agents and other workers of the election candidates accompanied the voters into the secret chamber of the voting centre. It is clear that the voters could not use their own free will to cast the votes. The supporters of the candidates actually pressed the EVM buttons and cast the votes.

An unpopular fascist party is ruling the country. It is looting the nation in all possible ways it can, human rights of people are being regularly violated in all spheres of life and all democratic institutions in the country have been destroyed. .

The fascism in Bangladesh is continuing in Bangladesh with active political support from India. Using the fascists in Bangladesh as its agents India has turned Bangladesh into its colony.

When in a fascist state the citizens are robbed of their democratic rights and democratic space vanishes, it poses many threats for the world, apart from destroying the country itself. So, the ongoing fascism in Bangladesh is not just a problem for the people of this country. It should also be viewed as a problem for all democratic and liberal people across the world.

বৃহস্পতিবার নারায়ণগঞ্জের রূপগঞ্জ উপজেলার কাঞ্চন পৌরসভার ভোট হলো। এই উপজেলার অনেক ভোটকেন্দ্রেই সম্ভবতঃ বেশির ভাগ ভোটার একা বা স্বাধীনভাবে ভোট দিতে পারেনি এই নির্বাচনে।

ভোট দেওয়ার গোপন কক্ষে ভোটারের সঙ্গে ঢুকেছেন পোলিং এজেন্টও, অন্ততঃ একটি ভোটকেন্দ্রে সাংবাদিকেরা প্রমাণ পেয়েছেন। পাশাপাশি ভোটারের সঙ্গে গোপন কক্ষে প্রার্থীদের লোকজনও ঢুকেছেন সেই ভোটকেন্দ্রে।

প্রিসাইডিং অফিসার বলেছেন, ভোটারেরা ইভিএম ভোটিং মেশিনে ভোট দিতে পারেনা তাই তাদের সাহায্য করার জন্য গোপন কক্ষে লোক ঢুকেছে।

শাসক দল গত ৩০ ডিসেম্বরের প্রহসনের নির্বাচনে পুরো রাষ্ট্রযন্ত্রকে ব্যবহার করে আগের রাতে ব্যালট বাক্স ভরে রাখায় সারা দুনিয়াতে ব্যপক সমালোচনায় পরাতে তারা এখন পরবর্তী নির্বাচনগুলোতে প্রতারণার নতুন নতুন কৌশল আবিষ্কার করছে। ইভিএম দিয়েই আওয়ামী লীগ পরবর্তী নির্বাচন গুলোতে রিগিং করবে।

যদিও বাংলাদেশের জনগণ নির্বাচন নিয়ে ব্যাপক প্রতারণার শিকার হওয়াতে আর ভোটকেন্দ্রে ভোট দিতে যেতে চায়না, তারপরেও মিডিয়ার চোখে পড়া এড়াতে ইভিএম ব্যবহার এবং সেই ইভিএম ব্যবহারের গোপন কক্ষে পোলিং এজেন্ট ও প্রার্থীর লোক ঢুকিয়ে আদতে প্রার্থীর লোক প্রার্থীকেই ভোট দিচ্ছে।

অজনপ্রিয় ফ্যাসিস্ট আওয়ামী লীগ ক্ষমতায় থাকা এবং তাদের অব্যাহত লুটপাটের জন্য ব্যাপক আকারে দমন পীড়ন, মানবাধিকার লঙ্ঘনই নয় নির্বাচন সহ বাংলাদেশের সকল গণতান্ত্রিক প্রতিষ্ঠান ধ্বংস করে দিয়েছে।

এই ফ্যাসিবাদ টিকে আছে ভারত রাষ্ট্রের প্রত্যক্ষ রাজনৈতিক সমর্থনে। ভারত কার্যত বাংলাদেশকে ক্ষমতাসীন ফ্যাসিস্টদের সহায়তায় একটি উপনিবেশে পরিণত করেছে।

বিশ্বের বুকে একটা ফ্যাসিস্ট রাষ্ট্রে জনগণের গনতান্ত্রিক অধিকার লুণ্ঠিত হলে গণতান্ত্রিক স্পেইস ধ্বংস হলে শুধু সেই দেশ বা সেই দেশের জনগণই ক্ষতিগ্রস্থ হয়না। সেই ফ্যাসিস্ট রাষ্ট্র সারা দুনিয়ার জন্যই নানা বিপদ তৈরি করে। বাংলাদেশের চলমান ফ্যাসিবাদ শুধু বাংলাদেশের জনগণের একার সমস্যা নয়, এটা সারা দুনিয়ার গনতান্ত্রিক ও লিবারেল মানুষের সমস্যা হিসেবে বিবেচিত হওয়া উচিৎ।
