Police in Bangladesh believe that they are very clever. But, in the case of murder of Abrar they left something like a piece of evidence which shows that it was a government-sponsored mission. Additional Commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police Monirul Islam said to journalists, “When police arrived in front of the BUET hall at around 3 am, they were told that everything was fine there.”
It is not clear from this statement who exactly assured the police that everything was fine there. The assurance certainly came from the Chhatraleague leaders or the BUET administration.
If the Chhatraleague leaders said to police that everything was in fine order, we can be sure that police listens to or obeys what Chhatraleague says and they operate on the basis of info provided by the student wing of the ruling Awami League.
And, we can blame the BUET administration for the murder of Abrar, if they informed the police that night that everything was in fine order there.
Monirul Islam should reveal who exactly told the police that night that everything was in fine order at the BUET hall. It’s indeed surprising that no journalist in the press meet asked Islam yesterday who told the police that nothing unusual happened at the BUET hall that night.

আমাদের অতি চালাক পুলিশ বাহিনী নিজেরাই প্রমাণ করে দিচ্ছে আবরারের হত্যা একটি পরিকল্পিত সরকারি মিশন।
আসুন, দেখি কীভাবে সেই সত্যটা পুলিশ নিজেই স্বীকার করেছে।
ঢাকা মহানগর পুলিশের (ডিএমপি) অতিরিক্ত কমিশনার (ডিআইজি) মনিরুল ইসলাম সাংবাদিকদের বলেছেন , ‘রাত ৩টার দিকে বাংলাদেশ প্রকৌশল বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের (বুয়েট) হলের সামনে গেলে পুলিশকে বলা হয়েছিল কোনও সমস্যা নেই।”
এই কথাটার মধ্যেই লুকিয়ে আছে সব স্বীকারোক্তি। পুলিশকে কে বলেছিলো “কোন সমস্যা নাই?” ছাত্রলীগ নাকি বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় প্রশাসন?
যদি ছাত্রলীগের কোন নেতা বলে থাকে, “কোন সমস্যা নাই”, তাহলে এটাই প্রমাণ হয় পুলিশ ছাত্রলীগের কথা শোনে এবং তাদের দেয়া তথ্যের ভিত্তিতে অপারেশন চালায়।
আর যদি বুয়েট প্রশাসন থেকে জানান হয় যে, “কোন সমস্যা নাই”, তাহলে আবরার হত্যার দায় বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় প্রশাসনের।
মনিরুল ইসলাম নিজেই বলুক কে বলেছিলো, কোন সমস্যা নাই? মনিরুল ইসলামের কথার এই ফাঁক দেখেও কোন সাংবাদিক কেন তাকে প্রশ্ন করে নাই তা আশ্চর্য লাগে।
