Cow vigilantes or gorakshaks affiliated to Vishwa Hindu Parishad have killed Pehlu Khan, a Muslim, in Rajasthan on Tuesday. Khan was among a few other cow traders who were transporting some cows from Rajasthan to Haryana. They carried documents of purchase of the cows. Also, they had permission to transport them. Yet, the cow vigilantes attacked them.
One of the drivers of the trucks was Arjun, a Hindu. While they violently attacked all other Muslims- including the truck drivers- the gorakshaks spared Arjun, interestingly. Only the Muslims were targeted by the gorakshaks in the attack.
Many Indian states are clearly backing the gorakshaks. We have seen photos and videos of the gorakshaks beating Muslim cow transporters and traders in the presence of police. We have also seen the Hindu activists taking softer stand against Hindus involved in trading or transporting of cows.
It’s clear that the Hindu groups are out to “save” the cows not for any Hindu religious reason. They are attacking the Muslim cow traders and transporters simply because they are Muslim. This is racism, State-sponsored racism.
রাজস্থান থেকে হরিয়ানাতে গরু পরিবহনের সময় পেহেলু খান বলে একজন মুসলিমকে মংগলবারে পিটিয়ে মেরে ফেলেছে বিশ্ব হিন্দু পরিষদের গো রক্ষা কমিটির লোকেরা। বৈধভাবে গরুগুলি কিনে তারা তাদের গ্রামে নিয়ে যাচ্ছিলো, তাদের কাছে কেনার এবং পরিবহনের বৈধ কাগজপত্র ছিল।
খুব কৌতূহলউদ্দিপক ঘটনা হচ্ছে, যেই ট্রাকে গরু পরিবহন করা হচ্ছিল সেই ট্রাক ড্রাইভারদের মধ্যে অর্জুন নামে এক হিন্দু ড্রাইভার ছিল। তাকে কিছুই বলেনি গো রক্ষা ওয়ালা; দোষ শুধু খানের, অর্জুনের নয়, আর এই দোষ এমনই যে জীবনটা দিয়ে দিতে হল খানকে।
যেখানে মুসলিমরা আছে সেখানেই গোরক্ষকদের সমর্থনে গো বধ নিষিদ্ধ করছে ভারতের রাজ্য সরকার। আমরা ফটো ও ভিডিও দেখেছি যেখানে পুলিশের উপস্থিতিতে গোরক্ষকেরা মুসলমানদের পিটাচ্ছে। আবার এই গোরক্ষকেরা কোন হিন্দু যদি গরু পরিবহনের সাথে যুক্ত থাকে তার বিষয়ে নমনীয়তা দেখাচ্ছে।
তাহলে দেখা যাচ্ছে ধর্মীয় কারণে তারা গো রক্ষার জিগির তোলেনি। এটা তুলেছে মুসলমান বিদ্বেষ থেকে; মুসলমান নির্যাতনের তরিকা হিসেবে। তারা বেছে বেছে মুসলমান গরু ব্যবসায়ী এবং পরিবহণ কর্মীদের মারছে। এটা পরিস্কার রেইসিজম, এবং রাষ্ট্র সমর্থিত রেইসিজম।
