If some are complaining that I “write against the Hindus”, they are incorrect. What I write is nothing but reviews or critiques in the interest to build a nice society. I always want Hindus and Muslims, despite their religions being different, live peacefully in the society in Bangladesh.
In my write-ups I am trying to identify the hurdles which hinder Hindus on way to bridge the differences in the society. There are identical hurdles for Muslims as well and they have been pointed out by many others. To build a harmonious society where we will not see conflicts we need to talk about these hurdles very openly.
যদি কেউ অভিযোগ করে এই বলে যে, “আমি হিন্দুদের বিরুদ্ধে লিখি”। কথাটা ভুল, আমি হিন্দুদের বিরুদ্ধে কিছু বলিনা, আমি যা লিখি হিন্দুদের নিয়ে তা পর্যালোচনা বা ক্রিটিক। আমি চাই বাংলাদেশের হিন্দু মুসলিম তাদের ধর্মীয় পার্থক্য সত্বেও সমাজ গড়ে মিলেমিশে থাকুক।
এইটা হওয়ার তরফে হিন্দুদের দিক থেকে যা যা সমস্যা আছে সেইগুলো আমি আমার লেখায় আইডেন্টিফাই করছি। মুসলমানদের তরফেও একইরকম কিছু সমস্যা আছে সেইগুলো নানা জনে আগে আইডেন্টিফাই করেছেন। একটা সংঘাতহীন সমাজ গড়তে গেলে এই প্রশ্ন গুলো নিয়ে প্রকাশ্য আলোচনা করে ফয়সালা করা জরুরী।
