Police have arrested Bipul Chakma who is a hill student leader. He was taking his cancer-afflicted mother to a hospital when he was arrested. After the arrest of the son the shocked and sick mother collapsed and died. Then police brought handcuffed Chakma to the funeral of his mother.
Did the police have a moral right to arrest him while he was taking his extremely sick mother to the hospital?
Was it really that necessary to arrest him in that crucial situation? I am really eager to know what the state achieved by arresting Chakma then.

পুলিশের কোন নৈতিক অধিকারের ভিত্তিতে একজন গুরুতর অসুস্থ মাকে হাসপাতালে নেবার পথে পুত্রকে গ্রেপ্তার করতে পারে? ঠিক ওই সময়ে বিপুলকে গ্রেপ্তার করাটা কতটুকু জরুরী ছিল? পুলিশি গ্রেপ্তারের শিকার না হলে বিপুল মায়ের মৃত্যুর সময় তার পাশে থাকতে পারতো। এই নির্মম আচরণে রাষ্ট্র কোন উপকারটুকু পেল জানতে ইচ্ছা হচ্ছে।
