The prime suspect in the case of killing of Shahjahan Bachchu has now been killed in a so-called crossfire. I am sure you all remember how the prime suspect in the killing of Bangladesh-American author and blogger Avijit Roy was killed in near-identical crossfire some time back.
Why are the suspects in the sensational cases of killings being killed this way? Why are the security agencies targeting such suspects in extrajudicial killing? Why can they not take the suspects to the court?
