In Bangladesh, agencies working for the fascist government, which retained power through a massively rigged general election ten months ago, are trying to crack down on all dissenting views. They are trying to curb the social media activities of the social and political activists, journalists, writers and other intellectuals who criticize the government. So, the Facebook accounts of many critics are being targeted.
The fascist government of Bangladesh has set up an IT cell which is dedicated to harassing people with dissenting views by attacking their social media accounts. Workers or members of the IT cell abuse and threaten them on their Facebook profiles who oppose the government on different issues. And, they also report en masse against their Facebook profiles which in most cases lead to the banning of the accounts. The state agencies have access to private messages exchanged on the mobile phones of Facebook users. By sending recovery SMSes to the Facebook authority they illegally take control of the targeted Facebook accounts and manage to permanently deactivate or remove them.
In the interest of the security of the users of Facebook, its authorities should review the issues of mass reporting and SMS recovery code.

বাংলাদেশের ফ্যাসিস্ট সরকার যা দশ মাস আগে এক প্রহসনের নৈশ নির্বাচনের মাধ্যমে ক্ষমতা ধরে রেখেছে তার এজেন্সিগুলো ফেইসবুকে ভিন্নমতের বিরুদ্ধে খড়্গহস্ত হয়েছে। তারা বাংলাদেশের ব্লগার, লেখক, সাংবাদিক, রাজনৈতিক কর্মী, বুদ্ধিজীবি যারাই সরকারের সমালোচনা করে তাদের ফেইসবুকের উপস্থিতি আর লেখালেখি বন্ধ করে দিতে চাইছে।।
ফ্যাসিস্ট সরকারের একটা আইটি সেল করেছে সেই আই টি সেলের কাজ হচ্ছে, সরকার সমালোচক ও বিরোধীদের প্রোফাইলে গালাগালি হুমকি দেয়ার পাশাপশি ম্যাস রিপোর্টিং করে আইডি ব্যান করে দেয়ার ঘটনাগুলো ঘটানো। সরকারি এজেন্সিগুলো যেহেতু মোবাইল আলাপ এবং এস এম এস পড়তে পারে তাই তারা ফেইসবুকে যুক্ত মোবাইলে রিকোভারি এস এম পাঠিয়ে আইডির নিয়ন্ত্রন নিয়ে সেই আইডি পার্মানেন্টলি রিমুভ করে দেয়।
আমার মনে হয় ফেইসবুক তার ইউজারদের নিরাপত্তার স্বার্থে ম্যাস রিপোর্টিং আর এস এম এস রিকোভারি কোডের বিষয়ে পর্যালোচনা করে ইউজারদের অধিকতর নিরাপত্তার বিষয়টা বিবেচনা করতে পারে।
