After some people in Bangladesh were accused of rape, their bullet-riddled bodies were recovered from different places. At least three bodies of the alleged rapists, following three different cases of rape, were found with a note around the neck of each of them. Each note carried identical message which said that the killed man was a rapist and he had been killed for his crime. In one of the notes the killer identified himself as ‘Hercules’.
The law enforcement agency strongly denied any role in the killings after allegations surfaced that they had killed the alleged rapists. But, in an investigation Prothom Alo newspaper has revealed that at least in one case of killing a law enforcement agency vehicle was involved. Eyewitnesses provided video clips of a vehicle in which the rape accused was taken away. Inquiry by the newspaper found that the vehicle was registered in the name of the headquarters of a law enforcement agency.
It’s clear that the state forces are adopting new tricks to continue their extrajudicial killing spree.

ধর্ষণের অভিযোগে অভিযুক্তদের আইন শৃঙ্খলা রক্ষাকারী বাহিনীর নামে ধরে নেয়ার পরে তাদের গুলিবিদ্ধ মৃতদেহ উদ্ধার হচ্ছিলো। মৃতদেহ উদ্ধারের পরে তাদের গলায় একটা করে চিরকুট ঝুলে থাকতো। দেশের বিভিন্ন স্থান থেকে এ পর্যন্ত এমন তিনটি মরদেহ উদ্ধার করেছে পুলিশ। চিরকুটের দাবিমতে, খুন হওয়া ব্যক্তিরা ধর্ষক। লেখা ছিলো ‘ধর্ষণের অপরাধেই’ তাদের ওই পরিণতি। এর মধ্যে ঝালকাঠির ভাণ্ডারিয়ার এক আসামির লাশের সঙ্গে চিরকুটে লেখা ছিল- “ধর্ষকের পরিণতি ইহাই। ধর্ষকরা সাবধান। হারকিউলিস।”
আইন শৃঙ্খলা রক্ষাকারী বাহিনী ধর্ষণের অভিযোগে অভিযুক্তকে ধরে নিয়ে যাওয়ার কথা অস্বীকার করেছে। কিন্তু প্রথম আলোর এই রিপোর্টে দেখা যাচ্ছে অভিযুক্তদের যখন তুলে নিয়ে যাওয়া হচ্ছিলো তখন প্রত্যক্ষদর্শীরা একটি সাদা পাজেরো জীপ্ চিহ্নিত করে। তাদের মোবাইলে তুলে রাখা পাজেরো জীপের ছবির নাম্বার প্লেট থেকে দেখা যায় গাড়িগুলো সরকারী। শুধু সরকারীই নয় আইন শৃঙ্খলা রক্ষাকারী বাহিনীর একটি সংস্থার প্রধান কার্যালয়ের নামে গাড়ীটি নিবন্ধিত।
এটা অবিশ্বাস্য যে রাষ্ট্রীয় বাহিনি এভাবে নানা নতুন নতুন তরিকায় বিচার বহির্ভূত হত্যা অব্যাহত রেখেছে।
