Here is another ruling Awami League party leader who is issuing an undemocratic and fascist statement. He is telling apparently a group of supporters of the opposition alliance to stay away from voting.
“You don’t have to go to the voting centre at all. We will be certain that you are on our side if you stay away from voting. We will take you into my arms after the vote is over,” the Awami League leader is clearly heard saying in this video.
We have not seen another instance of a political party asking the voters to stay away from voting elsewhere in the world. However, this party in Bangladesh still proclaims that it is a democratic political party. This is an absurd joke.

এক আওয়ামী লীগ নেতার অগণতান্ত্রিক ফ্যাসিবাদী বক্তব্য শুনুন। তিনি কিছু সম্ভবতঃ বিরোধী দলের সমর্থকদের উদ্দেশ্যে বলছেন, ‘তোমাদের ভোটকেন্দ্রে যাওয়ার দরকার নাই। ভোট কেন্দ্রে না গেলেই আমরা ধরে নেব তোমরা আমাদের সাথে আছো। তাহলেই ভোটের পরে তোমাদের আমরা বুকে টেনে নেবো।’
পৃথিবীতে এমন কোন উদাহরণ নাই যে কোন রাজনৈতিক দল ভোটারদের ভোটকেন্দ্রে না যেতে উৎসাহিত করছে। বাংলাদেশে ভোটকেন্দ্রে না যেতে উৎসাহিত করা দলটি নিজেদের গণতান্ত্রিক দল হিসেবে জাহির করে। এ এক তামাশা।
