After the quota reform movement activists gathered at Shahid Minar in Dhaka this morning with a plan to launch a protest demonstration, they were violently attacked this way by the goons of the pro-government Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL). They did not spare even the girl student protesters.
Mainstream media have reported how the BCL cadres are abducting the leaders of the quota reform movement. Activists of the movement have been targeted in violent attacks for the past few days in the presence of police. Police, who are not acting against the BCL goons, are routinely arresting the leaders of the quota reform movement.
আজকে সকালে কোটা সংস্কার আন্দোলনের কর্মিরা শহিদ মিনারে প্রতিবাদের জন্য জমায়েত হলে তাদের এভাবেই সরকারি দলের ছাত্র সংগঠনের গুন্ডারা মারপিট করে। তাদের মারপিটের হাত থেকে ছাত্রীরাও বাদ যায়নি।
বিভিন্ন প্রতিষ্ঠানে কোটা সংস্কার আন্দোলনের নেতাদের ছাত্রলীগ উঠিয়ে অজ্ঞাত স্থানে নিয়ে যাচ্ছে। গত কয়েকদিন থেকেই কোটা সংস্কার আন্দোলনের নেতাকর্মী দের উপরে ছাত্রলীগ পুলিশের ছত্রছায়ায় মারধর করছে। পুলিশ ছাত্রলীগের গুণ্ডাদের না ধরলেও কোটা সংস্কার আন্দোলনের নেতাদের নির্বিচারে গ্রেপ্তার করছে।
