The secularists have begun hurling abuses at me because I proved how one photo on Dhaka’s “river of blood” had been mischievously doctored and was fake. Nowhere did I make any comment about any other related video or still image claiming that the animal blood had NOT streamed into the water-logged roads or streets.

My only point is why someone or some group needed to photoshop or doctor one photo attempting to show that it was indeed the picture of a “river of blood”. In this situation it’s natural that many would be eager to know who had photoshopped the photo or why it was photoshopped.

Recovery of at least one doctored photo makes it clear that at least some people with ulterior motive got involved in this issue. Even if there are 100 real photos, the existence of one fake photo stands as the proof that some people are trying to exaggerate the facts. Now, it’s natural that some others will ask the question why some people needed to resort to exaggeration in this case. The question becomes louder when it is found that the global media uses that doctored photo to farther its anti-Muslim campaign. The underlying message is clear: “Muslims are blood thirsty”. This is nothing but racism.

You have to stand against this racism. You just have to be a good human being to stand against it- you don’t need to be Muslim for this. None on this earth is qualified enough to deliver a moral judgment against any religion or religious practice. Throwing abuses at any religious practice is nothing but racism.

The issue of animal blood and water-logging is related to the civic management, health and environment. If you target the practice of Qurbani in this case, the real issue will remain hidden and your racist face will get exposed. So, by supporting the people who are attacking the practice of Qurbani you are exposing your racist self. Are you really a racist?

একটা ফটোশপ ছবির জালিয়াতি ধরিয়ে দেয়ার জন্য স্যেকুলার গালাগালি বর্ষিত হচ্ছে আমার উপরে। আমি এই সংক্রান্ত অন্য ছবি বা ভিডিও সম্পর্কে কমেন্ট করিনি বা এটা বলিনি ঢাকার রাস্তায় জলাবদ্ধ অবস্থায় তার সাথে রক্ত মেশে নাই।

আমার বলার কথা একটাই, একটা হলেও ছবি কেন ফটোশপ করতে হল? এই প্রশ্ন এখন উঠবেই, যে কী উদ্দেশ্যে কারা এই ছবিগুলো ছড়িয়েছে? ফটোশপ করা অন্তত একটা ছবি পাওয়াতে এটা পরিস্কার এই ক্যামপেইনের পিছনে অসৎ উদ্দেশ্য নিয়ে কেউ কেউ লেগেছে। একশোটা আসল ছবি থাকলেও যখন একটা ছবিকে ফেইক করা হয় তখন বুঝতে হবে ঘটনাকে কেউ অতিরঞ্জিত করতে চাইছে। তখন প্রশ্ন ওঠা স্বাভাবিক অতিরঞ্জনের কেন প্রয়োজন হল? প্রশ্ন তখন আরো জোরালো হয় যখন দেখা যায় বিশ্ব মিডিয়ায় এটাকে এন্টি মুসলিম ক্যাম্পেইন হিসেবে কাজে লাগানো হচ্ছে। প্রচ্ছন্ন বার্তা খুব পরিস্কার, “মুসলমানেরা রক্ত লোলুপ” এটা প্রতিষ্ঠা করা। এটা পরিস্কার রেইসিজম।

রেইসিজমকে রুখে দাড়ানোর জন্য মুসলমান হওয়ার দরকার নাই, মানুষ হলেই রুখে দাড়ান। পৃথিবীর কোন মানুষের কোন ধর্মের বা কোন ধর্মিয় প্র‍্যাক্টিসের মরাল জাজমেন্ট করার যোগ্যতা আর অধিকার নেই। কোন ধর্মীয় প্র‍্যাক্টিসের ছুতায় কোন ধর্ম সমপ্রদায়ের বিরুদ্ধে নিন্দাবাদ নিরেট রেইসিজম। রক্ত পানির আবদ্ধতার ইস্যুটা গভর্নেসের, পাব্লিক হেলথের, পরিবেশের। এই ইস্যুটাকে কুরবানি বিরোধিতায় নিয়ে গেলে আসল ইস্যু ঢাকা পরে রেইসিজম প্রকাশিত হয়। আপনি কেন এই রেইসিজমে গলা মেলান? আপনি কি রেইসিস্ট?
